Arcus Shelf is designed by Nanna Aakjær Svendsen, with great inspiration from her grandfather, Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen. The purpose of Arcus Shelf was to create a shelf that, in addition to being functional, would serve as a piece of art in its own right.

The shelves share the same design language and incorporate traditional craftsmanship techniques. One of the key elements that Nanna Aakjær has drawn inspiration from her grandfather is the classic beveled edge, seen on many of Jørgen Aakjær’s coffee tables from the 1950s. The edge has been given a new role as a beautiful finish for the shelves. The organic shapes of the shelves make them a natural part of the wall when mounted.

Arcus Shelf is available in three different sizes and offers multiple uses. Use the shelf as a classic picture ledge, a practical storage solution, or as a sculptural element alongside other wall art in the home.

Arcus Shelf comes in the following finishes: white oiled oak, smoked stained oak, and natural oiled oak.
