Learn the history about Drops Table

We proudly welcome Drops Table, designed by Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen in the 1960s. This piece of furniture is an addition to the popular Heart Table, featuring its round tabletop and built-in intarsia technique.

On the surface of Drops Table, three drops intertwine, created with the ancient craft technique of intarsia. This technique, combined with the detailed craftsmanship of the legs and sharp edges, results in a piece that is not only practical but also a sculptural work of art that invites touch.

Like Heart Table, Drops Table offers versatile uses. It can serve as an elegant side table or a small coffee table. The built-in magazine shelf also provides space to showcase your favorite books.

Drops Table is available in three variants: white oiled oak, smoked stained oak, and natural oil, allowing you to choose the one that best fits your personal style.

A craft in history

Drops Table, designed by Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen in the 1960s, takes on a new and modern expression in the recently launched 2023 edition, utilizing the ancient technique of intarsia. Unlike the more ornate motifs often associated with Renaissance intarsia, Jørgen Aakjær employed a more minimalist approach, where organic shapes merge with functionality. This makes Drops Table a timeless piece of furniture that fits seamlessly into contemporary interiors while honoring the tradition of quality and detailed craftsmanship.
