Investors from Løvens Hule strengthen Intarsia Furniture in 2024

In August 2023, Nanna Aakjær moved down the famous stairs in the TV program Løvens Hule. Here she shared her passion for old craft techniques and her aim to make her grandfather's name and designs world-renowned.

Intarsia Furniture, the Danish furniture manufacturer known for its beautiful handmade joinery furniture, is now significantly strengthened with the arrival of two new investors from the TV program Løvens Hule. This significant development sets the company on course for even greater success and international expansion.

Since 2019, Intarsia Furniture has experienced great progress with the revival of the iconic furniture designs from the 1950s, created by the legendary Jørgen Aakjær Jørgensen (1920-2007). After a period of liquidation, the company was restarted in 2019 by Jørgen's granddaughter, Nanna Aakjær Svendsen, who has carried on her grandfather's legacy with great passion and dedication.

The two new investors from Løvens Hule, Nanna Aakjær, Louise Herping Ellegaard and Tahir Siddique, have chose to invest in Intarsia Furniture, which marks an important milestone in the company's history.

Nanna Aakjær convinced the TV investors

She left Løvens Hule with the support of two significant lion investors, Tahir Siddique and Louise Herping Ellegaard, who both share her passion for preserving and continuing Jørgen Aakjær's legacy.

With the new investors on board, Intarsia Furniture is now turning its focus abroad, where interest in classic Danish furniture is increasing. Nanna Aakjær Svendsen and her strong team are determined to expand the company's range and bring the iconic furniture designs to a wider audience.
